My name is Caroline Wilkinson and I run a group called The Footlights. I don’t get paid to do it, I just do because I enjoy it. It's not a business it's a hobby! My aim is to give young people the opportunity to take part in a theatrical production. Through having fun, confidence is built up and anything becomes possible. I aim to stage an annual pantomime with every member of The Footlights invited to take part. Over the past 10 years we have staged 5 performances over 4 days with dancers taking part in 2/3 performances each. Each dancer is taught approximately 5 dances/songs to perform. Older members play the principal roles. Our pantomimes take place at the Arc Theatre Trowbridge. Everyone involved gives their time voluntarily, therefore any help you can offer will be gratefully received (e.g. sewing, ironing, publicity, etc.). We hold a raffle at each of our performances and ask for the donation of a raffle prize from each dancer taking part. You will not be expected to contribute towards the cost of taking part in any production with The Footlights.
